Wordless Wednesday: In hot water

We went to an open house hosted by my daughter’s teacher in the Gatineau Park. His home is so quaint and welcoming.

The rustic hot tub was a big draw. It’s a clawfoot cast-iron tub, set in cement with a fire pit underneath and a chimney out front. And really what would an outdoor hot tub be without antlers?

Hubby and baby in for a parboil.

Now it's my elder daughter's turn.

She's doing what she's good at--fanning the flames.

What lies beneath--a fire! Now, that's a hot tub.

My flower girl.

My fierce girl.

  1. that is truly the best hot tub i have ever seen. oh, and your girls? gorgeous!

  2. Love the pics of your beautiful family Patti. I have one question…..did you make it into that awesome hot tub? Sign me up! It looks like something my dad would enjoy making (Dad, if you are reading this, I know you want to make it! Better yet, I think you want to make one for me).

  3. Holy Smokes Patti! They look so grown up….Oli too:)! I recomend getting rid of your maskara, switch to waterproof or pay for some sort of surgical lash enhancer.
I need to figure out how to get to Ottawa sometime soon.

  4. Heya smothermother, Steph and Wendy,

Thanks for the kind comments. It’s nice to have my children’s beauty affirmed. That was my thought, but I’m biased.

Steph, your dad could totally build you a hot tub like that (I mistyped that hot-but. Freudian?) You definitely have the yard for it.

Wen, you must get to Ottawa. I told Oli that you thought he was looking more grown up and he was pleased.

  5. That hot tub is priceless! Such pretty girls…flower girl has the most gorgeous eyes I think I’ve ever seen.
